Grease compatibility
Selecting the right grease is vital for your equipment's performance and durability. Not all greases mix well due to different oils, thickeners and additive compositions. Using incompatible greases can quickly degrade lubrication, causing equipment failure. Always refer to compatibility charts to ensure the greases you use together will maintain their integrity and protect your machinery effectively.

Note: Grease compatibility studies have been done and the most incompatible were aluminum complex, calcium complex, clay and polyurea-thickened greases. The most common effect was substantial softening; however, lithium grease sometimes hardened. It is important to note that even if thickeners are generally compatible, two greases may contain clashing base oil or additive formulations.
