The second annual Hometown Throwdown entries are in! Last year, we gave $150K to three festivals. This year, five lucky winners will be crowned, with the grand prize winner receiving $100K!
Hometown Throwdown, a Cenex giveback competition, celebrates our local roots and the unique local festivals that form the heart of each community. Stay tuned in May to see the finalists and vote for the best fest!
Past initiatives
Cenex gives back to local communities—and we’ve been doing it for generations.
Through this program, philanthropic organizations and nonprofits were awarded $25,000 Cenex grants to build brighter futures in the communities we call home across the country.
In partnership with the Minnesota Twins, Cenex breathed new life into aging ball fields, enhancing community spirit and preserving beloved local traditions.
Cenex partnered with Positive Coaching Alliance to provide coaches in rural schools with training workshops to foster positive environments for young people to succeed on and off the field.
